Welcome to the music classroom!

Students at St. Gregory’s enjoy singing, playing instruments, playing games and making music together. Recorders, boomwhackers, rhythm instruments, guitar, band, music history and music theory are just a handful of the things that are taught in our vocal and instrumental music curriculum.

Students K-8 attend vocal music class two days a week. Band is an option for students in 5th through 8th grade and is offered three times a week.  Most band instruments can be rented from the school.  Students in 4th grade play recorders and students in 8th grade learn the guitar in music class.

We put on two concerts a year (Christmas and spring) and have other performance opportunities such as Veteran’s Day, All-School Masses, music contest, performing the national anthem at basketball games (band) and providing musical entertainment for Grandparent’s Day.

Note: A band fee is charged yearly to be paid along with the tuition fees.

Instruments must be purchased/leased by each student.
