What’s new in the BIG K!
Dear Parents,

This week we had a great time learning about seasons! We made a new painting for our bulletin board show what a tree will look like as it changes through the seasons. We also had a fun science experiment and used 1 cup of potato starch and mixed it with ½ cup of water. We worked to form the mixture into snowmen but they kept melting!! We had a wonderful messy time!! Many friends wanted to complete this experiment again at home but just beware it is messy!! BUT SOOOO FUN!!!!! Feel free to add in food coloring for fun colored snow!! We also had fun saying good-bye to our old crayons by tearing off the rest of the paper and melting them down into a fun big tie-dye crayon!! We each have NEW crayons to use now!

This coming week we will finish our work on weather and seasons with a fun rainbow and rain experiments. We will then be ready to move into our unit of living and nonliving. We will also begin working on 3rd quarter assessments as the end of 3rd quarter will be here very quickly!! We will plan to have conferences after the 3rd quarter is finished to discuss the end of Kindergarten and transition into first grade!! The plan is for these conferences to take place the week of March 23-26th. Please be keeping this in mind as you work on your March family schedules.

Next week we will attend Ash Wednesday Mass with our Falcon Faith Families. Please wear your FFF shirt on Wednesday.
