First Grade Flash November 21, 2019

Categories: First Grade

Dear Parents,

Your children are doing an awesome job progressing in the content areas across the curriculum!  It brings a smile to my face to see their enthusiasm for learning new things each day!

The skills that were reviewed in Reading class were long o/u, silent kn, gn, wr words, drawing conclusions, fiction, high-frequency words and comprehension questions.

Please review doubles plus 1 with your children. The first graders will be assessed on Friday in Math class.

The students will only have math homework on Monday night.

I would like for the first graders to bring a fact about The First Thanksgiving for “Share and Tell” on Friday.

Please have your children read “It’s fun to Help”, “Kids Have Fun!” and “Kids’ Poems Around the World” this weekend.

We will be having our Thanksgiving Mass on Tuesday, November 26th

The first graders did a great job doing chores for our service project.  The students and I decided to donate the HY-Vee gift card and turkey to a family in our St. Gregory Community.  Your children are very kind and thoughtful.

Have a Blessed Thanksgiving!

Go Bearcats!
