First Grade Flash October 3, 2019

Categories: First Grade

Dear Parents,

WOW!  The students’ bug reports are amazing!  Each student is presenting his or her report!  I am very proud of your children!  Thank you for your help toward making their projects a super success!

The skills that were reviewed this week in Reading class were short vowel e, high frequency words, contractions with not, beginning, middle, end of the story, summarizing and comprehension question.

Please have your children bring 8 or 9 books to read in class.

I would like for your child to read “Come Out to Play!”, “On the Map”, and “The Farmer’s Market” this week.

The first graders and I are looking forward to “Stocktober” for the food pantry.  Our food color is black.  Thank you for supporting the eighth grade service project.

I have started assessing the first graders making the Sign of the Cross. Please have your children practice with you at home.

Please review the math concepts I sent in an email at the beginning of the week.  I will be assessing the students in Math class tomorrow.

I would like for the students to bring an item that has the short e sound tomorrow for “Share and Tell”.

Please have your children wear their FFF shirts tomorrow.  We will be going to Mass with our Falcon Families.

I thank God for the opportunity to teach your children each day.

Have a great weekend!
