First Grade Flash September 12, 2019

Categories: First Grade

Dear Parents,

The first graders have had an awesome week!  The students are doing a superb job on their daily classroom activities!  The first graders are a joy to teach each day.

The skills that were reviewed in Reading class were the short i, l blends, plot, problem/solution, singular possessives, high-frequency words, vocabulary, sentences, and comprehension questions.

Please have your children review adding doubles.  They will have an assessment in Math class tomorrow.

The students need to wear their FFF shirts tomorrow.  They will be going to Mass with their Falcon Faith Families.

Please have your child bring an item with an l blend.  (gl, fl, cl, bl,) for “Share and Tell” tomorrow.

I would like for the first graders to read “The Gift”, “Soccer” and “Guess  What!” this weekend.  Please discuss the stories with your children.

Please continue to have your children bring 6 or 7 books to read each week.

The students “A Bug’s Life” performance is due Monday, September

30th.

Our All School Mass is Sunday, September 15th at 10:30.

Thank you for all of your support and cooperation.  May you have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Sue Seipel
