Third Grade News

The students miss Mrs. Oliver, but we are all so happy for the arrival of her new baby!  Congratulations to the Olivers and welcome to the world, Sophie Ann!

As we end the third grade, the students continue to work on long division, improving their reading and writing skills, problem solving, and learning to cooperate with their classmates (and a substitute teacher!).

We had a fabulous field trip to LegoLand and the YMCA park!  Thank you to all the wonderful parents who helped on this field trip.  What a fun day for all of us!

Please encourage your child to continue to read and practice math facts over the summer.  This will help make 4th grade transition smoother! I also recommend having children write over the summer, and keep a journal of activities at least once a week.  If you are traveling, this is a fantastic way to remember summer vacations. God bless you and keep you all safe. Thank you for sharing your precious third…almost fourth grader… with me! Mrs. Starke
