Hooray for Field Day!  The 2019 Field Day is only a few days away!  Yikes!  I want to thank everyone who is planning to volunteer their time.  Without all of you, even all the planning in world would not make Field Day possible.  Special thanks to St. Gregory’s PTO who is paying for our students to have Kool Kats and Scrip who funded the Field Day Water Slide.  If you are unable to attend or volunteer this year please think about assisting with 2020 Field Day activities.   Help us make fun memories and celebrate the end of school.

It’s SUMMER TIME!  Summer is a time for playing outside, going swimming, riding bikes, going on walks, and playing all those summer sports.  Stay active and limit the video game time (unless it is a rainy day!!).  Please remember to be safe this summer…always wear sunscreen when outside and lifejackets when near water but most importantly never go somewhere by yourself. Always take a buddy!  Can’t wait to see you all in the fall!

Sports Physicals:  It is required that all students who plan to participate in a school sponsored sport complete a physical.  This includes athletes in 5th through 8th grades who play on ANY St. Gregory team. The physical must be completed by a licensed medical staff member.  The student-athlete must have the physical completed prior to the first day of practice; they cannot participate in practices or games without having one completed.  All physicals need to be on file with the school office staff.  Physicals are good for one calendar year. So for example if your student completed a physical Aug. 15, 2019 it will expire Aug. 14, 2020.

For more information regarding sports physicals please contact Mrs. Braymen or the MSHSAA website.  A link is posted below to the sports medicine page of the MSHSAA website so you can download the Physical Form.

Volleyball: Those 2019-2020 6th-8th Graders interested in volleyball should plan on attending our first practice scheduled for Monday, August 19th from 3:00-4:30pm.  There will be a parent meeting to follow at 4:30pm.
