Each day, the first graders bring a big smile to my face. The students have many special gifts and talents they share with each other.
When Mrs. Wiederholt was the kindergarten teacher, she would have her students write letters to Baby Jesus. When I was talking to her, we decided it was a great idea to have the first graders do this project. The first graders’ letters to Baby Jesus will be published in the News Leader on December 20th. The students are so excited to have their letters in the paper.
The skills that were reviewed in Reading class were long o/u/e, high-frequency words, silent k/g/w, drawing conclusions, fiction, floor plan and comprehension questions.
Please continue to have your children read on a regular basis, and bring 5 or 6 books each week to read during the day. Also, please review the spelling words and have your children practice spelling the words each night.
Tomorrow we will be going to Mass with our Falcon Families. I would like for the students to be at school by 7:40.
Our Christmas program is on Wednesday, December 19th. The students need to be at the program by 6:45 p.m.
The first graders need to bring something related to Jesus for “Share and Tell” on Friday.
I would like for the students to read “It’s Fun to Help”, “Kids Have Fun!” and “Kids’ Poems from Around the World”.
Thank you so much for your help and support.
May the Advent season bring great joy!
