I hope everyone remembered to change spring their clocks forward!
Happy 4th Quarter! Can you believe we only have one quarter of school left!
This last week everyone worked hard to complete our 3rd quarter assessment. Lots of papers for our portfolio! But this week it is back to our regular studies! Our new sight words will be: said, was. Our new word family will be the -in words, and our blend will be words beginning with bl. For our math studies we will work on paying for items with dimes, nickels and pennies, dividing a square in halves, and subtraction facts of -2.
For show and tell this week please have your child bring in their favorite green object.
Upcoming Important Dates:
March 12- Pizza Ranch Fundraiser for PD Fund
Offertory: 3-14 Ryker 3-21 Rylee Stiens
Snack Schedule: –
M – Ryver T- Dominic W – Rowen Th- Braxten F-Ryker
When it is your child’s birthday I will place their name as snack that day as most students choose to bring in birthday treats. Remember you will just need to provide something to eat as we will provide the afternoon milk that you paid for in your registration. Please remember to try and make it a healthy snack fruit, veggies, crackers, ect. Each day the students will get a napkin but if your snack requires spoons or forks you will need to provide those along with your snack. Our snack is scheduled for the afternoons so if it is your day you can either send it to school with your child that morning or drop it off sometime that day as long as it is at school by 1. Thanks, Mrs. Parman

Please be writing a letter to your child for their 8th grade graduation. This is a very open-ended letter. Some write it as to what they are looking forward to with high school years for their child. Some write what is going on in life now as a chance to reflect back and see all of the miraculous changes in life. Please just send it to school in your child’s folder and I will keep them as a time capsule letter to be part of 8th grade graduation. Please just send it by the end of the school year.
Summer Info: I will send home a packet of work to keep your child ready for first grade. This will be in the end of the year packet that comes home on the last day along with our Kindergarten diploma! Please start thinking of a half hour time that each day you and your child can work on the skills in the packet. A good way to break up the time is to read for 10 minutes, math fact or math skills practice for 10 minutes, and writing for 10 minutes. You can either write sight words, letters, or short sentences / stories.
