What a wild week! Hopefully all of the bad weather is out of the way and we can smoothly sail into the end of the third quarter as it ends Thursday, March 8.
We were planning on doing some 5th/6th grade Olympic activities today. Even though the Olympics will be winding down this weekend, we will still plan to do our games next Friday. The students will be finishing their country research Monday and Tuesday in class with their group members.
The Science test is going to be on Tuesday. The students were sent a Quizizz link from Mrs. Hall that they could use to study. They can still use this to prepare for the test, but she is going to do a few more review things in class Monday and then have them test Tuesday. The link to review is https://join.quizizz.com with the game code 384700
Students should still be getting in at least 20 minutes a day of reading. Many of them are working on the Watsons Go to Birmingham, and once they finish this, they can go back to their own book of choice. The Watsons needs to be finished up by Tuesday, March 6. We will continue working on vocabulary and literary elements activities on Monday with this novel.
The next Spelling Test for the 6th graders will be on Wednesday. The words are over various USA cities and attractions. They can study using the the Quizlet link that was emailed to them last week as well. https://quizlet.com/_
