WE SURVIVED the 100th DAY!! We were super busy creating, working, building and playing with the number 100! A big thank you to all of you as parents who sent in the shirts so we could create a wonderful hand print memory shirt! I am also thankful for all of the 100 items you sent for show and tell! While we all had a chance to share we didn’t get a chance to grab them before the bell rang on Friday so they will come home with the shirt on Monday.
We had a wonderful 100 penny experiment from Beckett! Beckett brought in 100 pennies and we put 50 in vinegar and 50 in ketchup to see which substance would clean the pennies better. We concluded that vinegar can clean pennies better!
In our sign language class we discovered that we know more than 200 signs. Way more than 100! Thank you to Mrs. Casteel and the 3rd grade class for teaching us this language!
We were so excited after our first Spanish lesson! Thank you Mrs. Badami for teaching us our first few phrases. We learned good morning, good bye, hello, I love you, thank you, you’re welcome! We are looking forward to our Slovakian lesson this Thursday!
The kids had a great snack from Ryver! Ryver did a great job of showing us how to use the string cheese and bananas to make the number 100!
I just want to take a moment and say how very grateful I am to all of you as parents for being so supportive of our classroom! With your support if makes our classroom such a wonderful environment to learn, create and work! THANK YOU!
Big week next week! See CSW flyer for schedule of dress up days and daily special events!
Thank you so much for donations to blanket project, we are inviting parents who would like to help tie blankets on Tuesday from 1-2. Thanks to all of our work together we have over $200 to purchase material and many donations of material! Thank you so much parents for the AMAZING support of this service project!
Thank you to the kindness challenge participants for all of the kind gestures this week! We were especially grateful for the new playground balls that were donated!
While next week we’ll be busy each day celebrating a different part of our Catholic School. Our new sight words for the week will be: here, had. Please practice these along with the other sight words we have studied. We will also add more CVC words with the vowel focus of “e”. We will also study the “sh” blend. For math we will continue with comparing and ordering two-digit numbers, odd numbers, and pattern blocks.
For show and tell this week please have your child share their favorite memory of school.
For the All school Mass on Sunday please have your child wear their PTO shirt. We will be sitting with our Faith Families.

When it is your child’s birthday I will place their name as snack that day as most students choose to bring in birthday treats. Remember you will just need to provide something to eat as we will provide the afternoon milk that you paid for in your registration. Please remember to try and make it a healthy snack fruit, veggies, crackers, ect. Each day the students will get a napkin but if your snack requires spoons or forks you will need to provide those along with your snack. Our snack is scheduled for the afternoons so if it is your day you can either send it to school with your child that morning or drop it off sometime that day as long as it is at school by 1. Thanks, Mrs. Parman
