The 8th graders decided to get creative with their fundraising efforts ahead of the Advent season. With so many great causes to support, it was difficult to narrow down their choices on who to help. They decided on a 50/50 raffle for each of the remaining 3 home basketball games. Here are the results so far:
Ava Blackford Thanksgiving Blessings – Raised a total of $255 – Thanks to Halle Buck, 7th grader, who won the 50/50 drawing prize of $84 and immediately turned around and handed it right back to us to help Ava!
On our next night, we raised $114 to use towards the purchased of gifts for a 4 year old girl and 2 year old boy. The 7th and 8th grade classes have adopted these little ones for Christmas through Community Services.
Don’t miss out on our last 50/50 raffle on Tuesday, Nov. 28th to raise funds for the Children and Family Center of NW Missouri. This center provides crisis/case management, court advocacy, 24-hour crisis hotline, residential shelter, local Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), children’s program, and support groups. The center serves 5 counties – Nodaway, Atchison, Holt, Gentry and Worth. Funds will be used for immediate needs.
