If you have had a child in preschool, I am sure you recognize this prayer/song the children often sing before snack. A simple song which serves as a reminder to be thankful for all the Lord has given to us.
St. Gregory School has so many reasons to be thankful. We are blessed with tremendous support from our parish community, parents, and grandparents; the leadership and guidance of Father Martin; the many volunteers who help serve lunch each day in our lunchroom; those who volunteer as librarians for our classrooms on a weekly basis; Marsha Martin who volunteers her time to be our cheer coach for 7th and 8th grade; teachers who volunteer their time to sponsor Math Counts, Chess Club and Academic Bowl; our children with their many gifts and talents; Susan Long, April Graham, and Jenni Halley who each put in several hours per week to keep our SCRIP program running; parents of St. Gregory’s Alumni who continue to give monetarily to the school and support our many events even though their children have moved to the high school; and the list goes on.
On my personal gratitude list, I continue to be thankful that God has given me the privilege to serve as principal at St. Gregory’s. The faculty and staff that work with your children each day are incredible, and the support you as parents give to the school is equally impressive. Thank you for sharing your children with us each day! May God Bless your families in a special way as we enter this season of Thanksgiving!November 2011 Newsletter
