Happy February! We are anxiously awaiting Valentines Day to celebrate a day of friendship! Please be working on a Valentine exchange box and cards for each classmate. We will have a class exchange at the beginning of our Valentine’s party on February 13th. Please send these to school on that day. Below is a class list.
A big thank you to the parents who were able to help tie up our blankets! We were able to complete 29 blankets that will be donated to emergency workers!
This week was our first Slovakian lesson! We learned Hello, goodbye, please, thank you, I love you, bless you, and began work on a folk song!
A big thank you to Mrs. Chloupek, Mrs. Jaster, and all of the other lunchroom helpers who volunteered to take the kids to lunch on Tuesday for a special lunch for the teachers!
We were very thankful on Friday when Father Albert stopped in to present us with our Kindergarten Bibles. The PTO provided the funds and Father Albert blessed our bibles and presented them to us! What a special way to celebrate our students for Catholic Schools week!
Our new sight words for the week will be: he, she. Please practice these along with the other sight words we have studied. We will also add more CVC words with the vowel focus of “e”. We will also continue our study of the “sh” blend. For math we will introduce new math facts of adding 2 to and even and odd number, covering an area with pattern blocks and recording.
For show and tell this week please have your child share anything they choose.

When it is your child’s birthday I will place their name as snack that day as most students choose to bring in birthday treats. Remember you will just need to provide something to eat as we will provide the afternoon milk that you paid for in your registration. Please remember to try and make it a healthy snack fruit, veggies, crackers, ect. Each day the students will get a napkin but if your snack requires spoons or forks you will need to provide those along with your snack. Our snack is scheduled for the afternoons so if it is your day you can either send it to school with your child that morning or drop it off sometime that day as long as it is at school by 1. Thanks, Mrs. Parman
